A TRAVELER WITH AÂ CAMERA
Hi! I’m Kate and I am a traveling Medical Laboratory Scientist who has recently started dabbling with photography! Leaving home to travel has finally given me a way to combine my love for exploration with my love of science! The way I see it there’s always something new to see and to learn - so I might as well try to capture as much of it as I can along the way! Hence the camera and the blog! :) Feel free to check in whenever and see what all I am getting up to in this wide wide world!
MY STORY
For starters I am a born and raised Michigander! I grew up in Sparta - a little village outside Grand Rapids. Woot Woot! Beer City, USA!!! I am also an incredibly proud Michigan State University Alumni and crazy football fan! You will catch me wearing green and watching football games all fall long!
I have two degrees in Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) - both from MSU. Laboratory Science is a field I completely and utterly adore! It’s an incredibly small profession that is not only challenging and rewarding; but also, continuously growing! I love that there is no limit to what we may someday discover - both in science and in nature!
I am currently striving to visit all the United States’ National Parks! So far I have visited 26 out of 63! While I still have a way to go - I find that I am in no rush! My absolute favorite place to be is anywhere I have never been!

MY FIELD AND MY VIEW
The World as I See It
I am in the early years of my traveling laboratory career and I could not love it more! It has thus far been the perfect opportunity to not only branch out and see more of the country but to also learn and experience new things in my ever-growing field. The world is a beautiful and amazing place, and I cannot wait to share everything I uncover with you all on this adventure of mine!
